Lily Sumner

  • Education

    Lily currently attends the University of Louisville, throughout her whole academic career, she has maintained above average grades and a 4.0 GPA. Lily currentl. Lily currently serves as YYAEL (Youth, Young Adults, and Emerging Leaders) National Treasurer, and Kentucky Right to Life Youth Director. Lily strives to be a well rounded student by receiving St. Vincent de Paul’s National Emerging Leader Award, St. Vincent de Paul Rose Award, and WLKY Bell Award.

    While in High school Lily was a pilot of her lesson plans, via living them out fully, and following them to the best of her ability. She was involved in over 25 clubs, held a president or chair position in 10 of them, was on FBLA’s National Southern Council and State Office as Reporter and Media Director, Interned with Representatives in her state governement, conducted underwater research in Mammoth Cave (where she and three of her colleagues discovered a new part of the world), and even started up her own podcast called I’m Just Gonna Say it Anyway.

  • Her Work

    Lily started her first non-profit, Wrapped in God’s Warmth, to help the less fortunate through the colder months. She started it when she was 12 years old and has continued to operate it to this day. P.E.E.P. is the next big project that Lily created to target the question, “What is my purpose?”

    Lily hopes this program will help students who feel overwhelmed with the fear of what the future holds, by offering the proper exposure and experiences within the workforce, that they know what they want to do.

Future plans

Lily hopes to continue to grow P.E.E.P. and Wrapped in God’s Warmth throughout the rest of her college career. She is majoring in Business Economics and Philosophy with a minor in Spanish. She hopes to eventually attend Law School and then work in the government. Lily wants to be able to change the world for the better and help people see the importance in getting the proper exposure to various careers as a student.
